Tim Action ShotJR: Please share with our readers what an animal communicator is?
TL:
An animal communicator is someone that has the ability to communicate with animals of all types through a telepathic connection. This can be done by either being in the proximity of the animal, through the use of a picture of the animal or even without the use of a picture.

JR: How did your journey to uncovering your ability begin and when did you realize that you could communicate with animals?
TL: I learned, much to my surprise, that I could communicate telepathically with animals in February 2004 while attending an all-day Animal Communication workshop. Until then, I had no idea that I had this ability.

JR: What are the benefits of hiring an animal communicator?
TL: If you have a pet in your family, you of course want what is best for him/her. By hiring a reputable animal communicator, you can learn a lot about your animal including answers to questions such as, Why has my pet’s behavior changed suddenly? Would my pet like to have an additional pet added to the family? or Where is my lost pet located and does he/she want to return home? By answering these types of questions and more, an animal communicator can help to bridge the communication gap that exists between humans and their animal companions.

JR: Reiki energy healing has grown popular in Veterinary Care. Please explain to the readers: What is Reiki Energy Healing?
TL: Reiki is a gentle, painless, yet powerful modality that works on all living things humans, plants and animals.

JR: How is Reiki energy healing beneficial to animals?
TL:
Reiki works on many levels: mental, physical, emotional and spiritual. Thus, an animal receiving Reiki energy will benefit where the healing is needed most. This, of course, can be different for each animal.

JR: When Reiki is used on an animal, what do they experience during this healing practice?
TL: When an animal receives Reiki energy, the animal will become very relaxed and sometimes will even fall asleep. A treatment can be short (about 5 or 10 minutes) or long (up to an hour) depending on how much healing the animal feels it needs. Once the animal has absorbed all of the energy it feels it needs, it will slowly awaken and walk away. Often, in my experience, before walking away, the animal will give me a sign of affection as a way to say, Thank you. This has usually taken the form of a nuzzle, love lick or love nibble.

JR: What would you like the readers to take away with them about the Reiki healing process?
TL:
Reiki is beneficial to any animal regardless of the animals health. Reiki is typically used as a complimentary therapy and is not a substitute for veterinary care.

JR: Please discuss for our readers your insight on Holistic alternatives for and proper nutrition for dogs. What options are available for holistic alternatives and what are your recommendations?
TL: Fortunately, there are many holistic alternatives available for pets. Many veterinarians are becoming certified in acupuncture, massage therapy, chiropractic, homeopathy, Chinese herbs, Western herbs, flower essences, kinesiology and nutrition. I would recommend seeking holistic alternatives for your pets in addition to any traditional treatments that are available.

JR: What do you believe is a proper and nutritious diet for dogs?
TL: This varies based on the breed of dog, the dogs exercise requirements and the age of the dog. For example, a dog used in Alaska for pulling sleds is going to need a diet much higher in protein than a lap dog in your home. But, I always recommend feeding your dog a premium dog food and nutritional supplements that are best suited for your dogs health and lifestyle. This will keep them happier and healthier in the long run.

JR: How can handlers with busy schedules adopt a healthy and nutritious diet for their dogs either at home or on the go?
TL: Find a premium dog food that agrees with your dog and stick to it. And, always feed them on a regular schedule. This will help to avoid potential digestive problems.

JR: Please share with our readers how you use your ability to communicate with animals to help build stronger relationships between humans and their animal companions.
TL: Through my ability to communicate with animals, I am able to provide their human companions with insight into the innermost thoughts that their pets have. This includes reasons why a pet may suddenly have a behavior change, why a pet may have run away from home, whether their pet wants to undergo a certain medical treatment (e.g. chemotherapy for cancer) or what their pet went through during the transition process.

JR: If you have ever wondered what your dog is thinking when it barks, whines, howls, or circles numerous times before laying down you can now find out with Tim Link’s new book Wagging Tales, Every Animal Has A Tale. Please tell our readers what they can expect to read about in your book. How many conversations with animal friends stories will they find throughout the book?
TL: There are 32 chapters in my book. These stories cover cats, dogs and a praying mantis.
JR: What types of practical tips does the book offer?
TL: There are 24 practical tips located within my book. These are tips that I have learned through my own experience with my pets as well as from what I have learned working with animals at the local rescue shelters.
JR: Is a second book in the works in the future?
TL: I would very much like to make Wagging Tales a series of books offering additional insight about animals that I have worked with.

JR:What do you want your legacy to be?
TL: My legacy, with regard to my role as an animal communicator, is to give the animals a voice so that they may have the best relationship possible with their human companions.
