2010 USDAA Cynosport World Games details and Spring Festival of Dog Agility® information
We are pleased to announce that we have received a Letter of Commitment from the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville to host the Cynosport World Games on October 13 – 17, 2010. Options are also being offered for 2011 and/or 2012.
The facility is home to the Kentucky State Fair and the Kentuckiana Cluster of Dog Shows and has ample RV and general parking. It includes both indoor and outdoor areas. Much of the competition and the Finals will be held in the Broadbent Arena on packed dirt and will be streamed live via the Internet.
We are certain competitors and guests alike will enjoy their time in Louisville. We are working diligently with the facility, local sports commission, and hotels to secure room blocks at favorable rates.
Watch the News page at www.usdaa.com for more details as they become available.
Long before the Games get under way, the Spring Festival of Dog Agility® will be reborn on April 2-4, 2010. Clubs in the Mid-Atlantic region will join forces to offer The Mid-Atlantic Showcase and in south central Texas, Hill Country Agility & the Bexar Regional Agility Team will get together to offer The Hill Country Agility Showcase. The events will climax with competitors in both locations running head-to-head across some 1,500 miles via the Internet on USDAA.com, competing for prizes and top honors. The event will be the first of its kind simulcast over the Web.
The showcase tournament will consist of three classes in an individual triathlon event, where points are accumulated from Team and Performance Versatility Standard and Jumping classes and culminating with a third and final Showcase Standard run each for the Championship and Performance Finals. Courses will be identically set in both locations and scores combined to determine the winners from the two events. Cash prizes are being offered in both events and an overall award will be provided to the winner in each program. Titling and other USDAA tournaments will fill out the three-day schedule.
More information is available on the Events Calendar on USDAA.com.
